Urban Wilderness is a Stoke-on-Trent-based community interest company powered by the belief in the power of art to generate social change.

Working with young people living in areas of urban deprivation, Urban Wilderness champions the rights of young people to play, make art and be heard.

In October 2019 Artsbank sat down with the UW team – Laurel Gallagher, Jenny Harper and Isla Telford – to learn about their experiences over the last few years making cultural events with local communities in the area and get their tips and advice for those starting out.
