About this Place

The WEA has been active in Stoke-on-Trent since its first tutorial classes in Longton in 1908. Two local branches:
Longton & Potteries Branch: meets at the City Central Library, Bethesda St, Stoke-on-Trent, ST1 3RS.
Current arts and cultural courses include English Literature After the Guns Fell Silent; The Life and Work of C F Tunnicliffe, Wildlife Artist; Creative Writing Group; Visit to Sikh Temple; Japanese Artefacts

Newcastle and Wolstanton branch: meets at Seabridge Community Centre, Roe Lane, Newcastleunder-Lyme, ST5 3UB, and Newcastle Community Fire Station, ST5 2SL. Current arts and cultural courses include Music Appreciation: The Cello Through The Ages; Creative Writing Day School; Rags and Rugs Craft Day and Workshop Craft Sessions; Visit to Burleigh Pottery.

Branches also arrange outings to museums and theatre visits as part of their programme.
